Delivery and Returns Policy

Delivery Policy

  1. Delivery Timeframes

    • Delivery times are estimated during checkout and depend on your location and the size of your order. While we aim to meet these timeframes, delays may occasionally occur.
  2. Delivery Costs

    • Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on your order and delivery destination.
  3. Damaged Items in Transit

    • Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item arrives damaged, contact us immediately at logistics@delforno.ie with photos of the damage, and we will arrange a resolution.

Returns Policy

Our returns policy complies with Irish and EU consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (Ireland) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

1. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

  • You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without providing a reason.
  • To qualify for a return:
    • The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in the same condition as when you received it.
    • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) must be provided.
  • Certain items are not eligible for return under the cooling-off period (see Exceptions below).
  • The cost of returning non-faulty items is the responsibility of the customer, including any customs charges that may apply to customers outside of the EU.

2. Faulty or Damaged Goods

  • If your goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a replacement, or refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 (Ireland) and EU law.
  • Contact us at logistics@delforno.ie within 30 days of delivery to arrange a return. For faulty or damaged items, we will cover the return shipping costs.

3. Process for Returns

To initiate a return, follow these steps:

  1. Email us at logistics@delforno.ie to request a return. Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.
  2. Once approved, send your return to:
    Delforno Logistics, Bowl Road, Macroom, Co. Cork, P12YD25, Ireland.
  3. Ensure items are securely packaged to prevent damage during transit.

4. Inspection and Refunds

  • Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and notify you of the refund status.
  • Refunds for eligible items will be processed to your original payment method within 14 calendar days of approval.

Exchanges

  • To exchange an item, return the original item following the steps above. Once the return is approved, place a new order for the replacement item.

Exceptions

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., adhesives, liquids, grouts, glues, primers).
  • Custom or special-order items (items not regularly stocked and specifically ordered for the customer).
  • Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.
  • Clearance, “sold as is,” or end-of-line items.
  • Gift cards or sale items.

In addition to the terms outlined above, your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer protection laws guarantee:

  • Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose, and as described.
  • You are entitled to remedies for faulty goods, including repair, replacement, or refund.
